Finally, a Chance to Get Outdoors!
This week the weather was a bit warmer and more clear, so the kids got the chance to go outside a bit. They LOVED it! Poor things have been cooped up indoors for soooo long. This winter is seeming to drag on a bit, so this week was a welcome break for everybody. The kids even played outside with sidewalk chalk (even drew on the crusty, frozen bits of snow), drawing pictures all over our driveway and sidewalk.
Yesterday Randy took the kids outside in the backyard where they played and played and played. They were sooo happy out there that I had to snap a few pictures:
Miss Claire Belle – can’t believe she’ll be 3 in a month!! Time has flown so fast! This week she’s especially enjoyed “reading” to Norah. She likes Norah to sit on her lap or next to her and then has Norah point to things she has her find in the books, “where’s the cat, Norah?” Norah absolutely LOVES reading with Claire. Claire is Norah’s big helper. It’s so fun to watch the magic of their “sisters” relationship unfold. Since I never had a sister, but always wanted one, I love watching their relationship blossom. Claire is especially looking forward to warmer weather. Almost daily she tells Randy that she wants to go to the “splash pad!!!” to which he reminds her that it’s too cold to go. Friday she started asking to wear her swimsuit. I think she’d be happy to wear a swimsuit every day if we let her.
Tate-o-bug has been the most enthusiastic to play outside. I have a feeling this summer he’ll want to be outdoors constantly. Tate’s favorite movie right now is “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.” He loves to watch it and thinks it’s the coolest movie ever. The only bad part of this love is that he “plays meatball movie” a lot by throwing food in the air to have it rain on everyone. I think he’s pretty surprised that no matter how many times he does it, no one thinks it’s quite as fun as he intends it to be. We had a playdate at our house on Friday and Tate kept running around humming the themesong from the movie while throwing food on everybody. It didn’t go over that well, sadly. ;)
Norah (“Mimi”) is getting so grown up and BUSY. I thought she was busy before but she just keeps getting busier and more into EVERYTHING. She loves playing with Tate and Claire and follows almost whatever they do, including trying to climb up to our big slide in our backyard. Norah’s vocabulary has just blossomed overnight, it seems. She now says sentences and things like “ooh-see” (oopsie), “ah wuv ooh” (I love you), “uh-kay” (okay) and “crry-see” (crazy). Luckily Norah is still just as cuddly as ever.
All three kiddos have been sick lately, so this week was the first week in awhile that they’ve felt well. Yay! We feel so blessed with our sweet little family. Our kids are the light of our lives.

Great to have all the fun photos. We love to see pics and especially ones with lots of smiles. Kudo’s to Randy for all the great outdoor time, it is so good for them…Love Oma
Congratulations Quinn and family! I am relieved for you that things are looking good and baby is growing. Look forward to hearing about your progress and what it’s like to be pregnant with three kids! :)
btw, I’m looking into Cherish Bound and will most likely have more questions!
Thanks Suzette! Please ask all the questions you’d like about Cherish Bound. Carol is fantastic (the owner) and is a friend of mine. Love you! xoxo
Congrats! I’m so happy this pregnancy is going well… except for the scary uncomfortable cyst… no fun! I’ve been thinking about you lately and want to bring you dinner!
